About ProDAIT

The ProDAIT project

(Professional Development for Academics Involved in Teaching) was set up by the Staff Development Unit at the University of Birmingham, UK, in October 2004. The first phase of the project was supported by HEFCE funds under Rewarding and Developing Staff Phase 1 through a Birmingham University Teaching Fellowship.

The aim of the project

is to promote and support sustainable continuing professional development (CPD) for academic and academic-related staff whose job includes teaching and the support of learning.

ProDAIT partners

are the institutions whose staff have contributed in a major way to the project. For the convenience of staff from ProDAIT partner institutions, links to relevant web pages specific to these institutions are included in a box on the right hand side of each ProDAIT web page.

Key contributors and project managers

for ProDAIT Phase 1 were Ros McCulloch (Senior Staff Development Advisor, University of Birmingham) and Corony Edwards (Senior Lecturer, School of Humanities, University of Birmingham).

For Phase 2, Corony Edwards is the Project Director, Project Manager is Dr Anna Rowe, Materials Developer is Dr Carol Miller.
