Planning ahead

You should plan broadly how you intend to analyse data at the design stage of your study. This ensures that the questionnaires are designed appropriately to collect the necessary information. Also you should design sheets for logging receipt of completed questionnaires and for documenting the data. This does not mean that other decisions can not be made later for further and different forms of analysis. Often responses come up that you had not anticipated and you need to include these in your thinking.
