When reframing a teaching issue, ask yourself these key questions:

• What is the constraint?
• Can I reformulate the constraint to uncover its basis more fully?
• Do I agree with its basis?
• Can I take any action if I think it is appropriate, to remove the constraint?
• How can I find out more about the issue or check that my perceptions are correct?
